On an Axis
Is it time to harden our hearts
So we don’t come undone?
Searching for strength within
But suddenly… there is none
Seconds tick by…
And then minutes and hours and even more
Is that you letting us in?
Or are you showing us the door?
Unsteady surfaces
A high-wire act
One false movement
And that will be that
It all feels extreme
It all feels like too much
JUST STOP
Take a deep breath
Let your jaw unclench
Find the calm from within…
…It still exists somewhere
Calm exists, I can create it
Calm exists, if I embrace it
Calm exists, if I can let it
Just let it…
