Not going to lie, this month is kicking my butt. This is the second (or third, fifth?) year in a row I’ve lost my voice from a combination of stress, sickness, and/or allergies. It’s like my body knows it’s time to hibernate and decides to shut it down for me.
This December was also filled with producing a two-day elementary school talent show, finishing up some writing deadlines (why is December also a writer’s busiest time of year?!), going to mixers/holiday parties, and trying to be as merry as possible before my son goes on his every-other-year-holiday-exodus (aka spending Christmas with his dad’s family across the country)… but more on that next week.
Needless to say, this month’s card pull is going to be a little… condensed. Thankfully, I used a gorgeous oracle deck and the card is a very, very good one for the end of the year. Hurrah.
About the Deck
This month’s deck is the Mother Mary Oracle Deck, which was gifted to me by my close friend about a year ago. I’ve only used this deck a few times, but the artwork is breathtaking and we can all use a little MOTHER from time-to-time.
December Card Pull - All Signs
I did a collective card pull, which means it’s universal to all!
“Our Lady of Innocence” per the guidebook, this card is pulled when it’s time to release our feelings of shame and insecurity. Our Lady of Innocence reminds us that life is filled with trials and tribulations, but our core is still filled with purity.
What a great card to get on the last full moon of 2024, which is all about letting go of the things that no longer serve us. All that muck holding us back— be like Elsa and let it f*cking go. Let’s head into 2025 fortified and feeling fine.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve had a very “I’m reclaiming my time” kind of week. Yes, the holidays and this time of year are for gifting and giving, but it’s also a time to focus on the things that matter most— whatever that means to you.
The Ritual
If you’re looking for a little year-end / solstice magic, there’s nothing better than a simmer pot / intention burning ceremony.
For the simmer pot
Fill a large pot with water, apple cider vinegar, squeeze of lemon, ginger, mulled spices, and cinnamon. Bring to a rapid boil, then reduce to a simmer for as long as you like. The fragrant mix will open your lungs and make the house smell seasonally perfect.
For the intentions
Set a 90 second timer and write as many “intentions” for this month that come to mind. Write whatever comes to mind and let your intuition be your guide (that’s what the timer is for!) Optional: safely burn them, or you can “soak” them in the simmer pot (when it’s on simmer).
If you’d like a personal reading, be sure to hit that message button below. I’m offering a holiday special of $25 for a 15-minute card pull and energy reading. Makes a great gift!
Speaking of gifts, you can also give the “gift” of my writing. Neat!
Have a great week, everyone! xx
