I wish it didn’t feel like such a chaotic time right now, but here we are. Hope everyone is staying safe and alert with the continuing windy weather in L.A.
Intention Setting Workshop on Jan 18— POSTPONED!
I’ve gone back and forth on this all week, but ultimately I don’t have the bandwidth. Instead, I will still be hosting a free community zoom hour from 5pm-6pm pst, where we can share resources, and hold space for all the hard feelings.
The link to register is: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/SOSJGb1lRkOcVsCGV-T1hA
All are welcome to join, so please share if you think anyone might want to join.
Green Envelope Aid
A few people have reached out, but I don’t have any plans to restart Green Envelope Grocery Aid right now. For industry members, the WGAW announced a grant through ECF. There’s an overwhelming amount of mutual aid right now, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be in touch with a lot of organizations.
But if anyone needs to be connected, or needs any immediate financial assistance, please reach out and I’ll do my best to help.
Small Mental Health Tip
If you have to go back to work/travel, and are feeling unsafe/anxious about potential fires and evacuating:
Send your location to a close friend so you know someone knows where you are
Have a plan to get your pet out. Talk to neighbors. Leave the carrier by the door.
Have a plan to get your kid from school. Make sure they are on your child’s pickup list and it’s someone your child would be comfortable with in an emergency.
It may seem small, but these three things will bring a lot of peace of mind. Promise.
Stay safe and strong, everyone. Sending love.
