the weekly rundown 6.25.25
weekly intention and card pull, love island thoughts, hopeful politics, silent screaming, a mini reunion, and does anyone want to make out?!
We are officially in summer, and what a week it’s been between the summer solstice, ceasefire, and a new progressive and grass roots mayoral candidate. Is that some hope on the horizon? I did see a Hummingbird cross in front of an American flag while surrounded by beautiful people this weekend, so I’m choosing to believe it is.
Onward…
Weekly Card Pull and Intention ✨
Like I mentioned, LOTS going on in the world and astrologically between the summer solstice (6/21), Jupiter Cazimi (6/24), and entering Cancer season (6/21), which is one of my favorite seasons. If you’ve been waiting for some relief, it’s coming, my dears. It’s also really important to hold onto your own truth right now.
This week, I will stand in my truth

After refusing to join for years, I’ve finally succumbed and created a TikTok account. What do I need to know? Who do you recommend I follow? And of course, feel free to follow me back.
Love Island 🏝️
I listened to you guys about watching USA and so far, I have to admit I’m pretty disappointed! Ace has been running the island like his own personal whiteboard, and after Hannah and Jeremiah’s shocking exits, the only thing that did make sense was going to Casa early and creating an entire reset.
If you are not caught up, stop reading….
****Spoilers Below****
I am VERY curious where Olandria and Nic are going in that car because surely they can’t be getting rid of two fan favorites?! My theory is Cierra and Taylor will have to choose between their Casa loves and their OG loves, but we shall see.
I am personally very excited for Chelley to return to the villa with 6’8” Chris, and what Ace is going to do without his first lieutenant by his side.
Some this and that:
-Cierra loves a good flop top boy and I love that for her. Elan is very cute and I loved their horoscope convo
-Huda’s redemption arc has been a hard pill to swallow, but I’ve been loving her outfits
-I can’t wait for Jaden and Austin are pretty cute together
-I kind of forgot Pepe was on the island during the last ep
-So glad Iain Sterling finally addressed the “Tomorrow NIGHT” controversy on his instagram page (also seriously excited he’s doing some standup in the states!) 😂
Zohran Mamdani 🗳️
In “is hope on the horizon” news, NYC voted for Zohran Mamdani, the 33-year-old assembly member, to be their Democratic nominee for Mayor. Why is this such huge news? Because Mamdani won the primary against Andrew Cuomo and his corporate and democrat-backed campaign— and he won with grassroots efforts and as a progressive candidate. So maybe the pendulum is starting to swing back toward human decency. Or maybe New York is tired of their mayor coming off more as a Gotham villain (I’m looking at you, Adams and Guilliani) than a human person. Either way, a small… but mighty victory!
In other smaller political news, the WGAW announced its candidates for Officers and Board of Directors this year. We are going into negotiations next year (I know, already), so it’s pertinent we elect people who have our best interests at heart. If any WGA members have questions, or want to know more about the candidates, please reach out.
Feel Good 😌
Do you ever feel like you just need to scream? That is a common feeling, and thankfully I discovered this amazing technique that releases jaw tension and resets the nervous system. As always, this comes with the disclaimer that I am not a doctor or medical person and you should do what’s best for you.
That being said, GAME CHANGER.
This would’ve been exciting for me to read as a headline, but to witness it in person was surreal (and yes meeting your teen crush is every bit as delightful as you think it would be.) As Carrie Coon said in White Lotus, “I was just happy to be at the table.”
Final Thoughts 💭
It’s Jonathan Bailey’s year and we’re just here for it. We could all use a little more make-outs in our life, honestly.
And, finally… this had me cackling:
Have a great week, everyone!
