In an effort to stay more present and *healthily* positive, this little list has been a very helpful tool for me. I try to do a version every of this every Wednesday (sometimes with a vision board / planning doodle, if time and inspiration allow). And now I’m sharing with you (and might make this a regular thing?! Stay tuned…)
Reading 📖
I finally downloaded the Substack app last week, and I have to admit, I love how much it’s feeling like LiveJournal circa 2008 for me. Part of that good ole nostalgia feeling comes from reading my college friend’s posts, which deal with balancing motherhood, career, and creativity— and her writing continues to be some of my favorite. It’s my
Substack of the week: Rebecca Rocket
I’m also very much enjoying “How to End a Love Story” by another writer friend, Yulin Kuang. I knew this book was going to be good the minute she told me what it was about… and it’s so dang good (and also makes me want to be back in a writers’ room… stat!)
Watching 📺
So much good TV, and I’ll try to do some recap/review stuff soon. But, here’s what I’m very happy to chat about!
White Lotus
Severance
Last Week Tonight
The Last 10 Mins of the Oscars (did you read my post yet?)
Eating and Cooking 🧑🍳
I’ve been craving a lot of easy, comfort food this week. These recipes are two of my favorites (*and picky kid approved, too!)
Writing ✍️
Substack Posts (welcome new subscribers!)
Procedural Pilot (decided to completely re-break it based on outline notes and current situations)
Historical Romance Novel Outline (trying to devote at least 20 mins a day, even if it’s while I’m helping my son with his homework)
Listening To 🎧
The best thing I’ve been doing for mental health is dancing while getting ready. This playlist is a good confidence building booty-shaker.
My son and I are also obsessed with the APT music video right now (and may have recreated it for fun last weekend 😉)
Planning 💭
I got involved in PTA last year and we have a big in-person meeting next week. It’s honestly been really rewarding and I’m very excited to see some rewarding work pay off.
New health routines
Practicing 👣
Staying present and letting go
Enjoying 🤩
Having a slow week without my usual day-job hours
Dean’s Coffee — the coffee cart that was created during the strike— is back and right in my neighborhood! If you live in Burbank (or close by), order for porch pick-up or delivery.

Listening to the rain while writing and dressed not-unlike Margo Tenenbaum is also making me very happy right now.
Feeling 💗
Okay… right now, at least.
What’s your rundown look like? I’ll open the subscriber chat tonight if anyone wants to share. Hope you’re having a great week.
