This is My December?
The calendar says it’s Dec 2, 2024, but my brain is having a hard time computing that fact. The date also happens to hold significant meaning, but I’m trying not to divide my life pre-covid, pre-divorce, or pre-2016 anymore. I’ll keep you posted on how it all goes.
Keeping to the current moment: it’s currently 10:25am. I normally write these posts throughout the week, but with Thanksgiving and trying to sink into the present-moment, that didn’t happen. I also had to spend the majority of my long weekend designing a program and writing a script for my son’s talent show next week. These are things that bring me a lot of joy (and used to bring some money!), but it’s still a slightly painful reminder that I’m not writing for television right now— a reminder that gets compounded with the dwindling savings account and dwindling spirit.
I need to make money. I need to keep my hopes up. I need to keep writing. And most importantly, I need to give myself grace.
I hope whatever you’re going through this week, you remember to give yourself some grace, too.
Self-Care To-Do
With the start of the new month, and that new moon energy (Dec 1), this is a great week to set some intentions for the last month of the year. Instead of focusing on what you want to accomplish, think about how you want to feel. For example: “This week, I want to feel balanced and centered” (don’t we all).
I Need Your Help
I want to hear from you, darling readers! What kind of posts are you looking forward to in 2025?
